I'm Diel Duarte — Software Engineer, working mostly in the browser. I spend my days shaping architecture and developer experiences.

Over the years I've moved from a generalist full-stack role into frontend specialization. I care about the architecture of legible UI: splitting code along the grain of a product, modelling interactions as explicit state, and making the invisible parts of the system readable to the next person.

Lately I write about everything I'm interested in and learning. This site itself is structured as a tree: home at the root, a handful of branches, one of them rendered as a diagram on the home page.

Outside work I drive, run, lift, drink good coffee, and try to read more than I tweet. I live in Brazil.
